LIGHTS UP ON MOSIA: Opening Night
Share

Dear Friend,
Today feels a bit like opening night.
Not the big Broadway kind, with velvet curtains and crisp playbills, more like a high school musical where someone’s mum has made traybakes, the lights flicker just a little, and everyone is buzzing because something heartfelt is about to begin.
That’s what launching Mosia feels like.

It started, as most of our ideas do, at our coffee table, the one covered in candles. We were talking about autumn (as usual), and movies (as always), and how some evenings feel like scenes you want to bottle.
The kind of scenes where the light is warm, the air smells like nostalgia, and you swear a John Hughes style voiceover could start at any moment.
So we made candles that feel like that.
Not fancy, not sleek, not “elevated lifestyle essentials” (whatever that means). Just cosy things for people who live like it’s October all year round.

Greg photographed them like tiny Hollywood stars. I arranged props on the table like a set designer with too much sugar.
We spent way too long debating if Hot Cocoa Club should lean more “snow day” or “Ferrero Rocher fever dream” (spoiler: both).
And our dog supervised the entire process with the intensity of a studio executive.
And somehow… five little candles came out the other side ready for their debut.

Fireside Throw — the blanket you wish came in candle form.
Pecan Pie — warm, nutty, and a little dramatic (just like us).
Ginger Snap — spiced, sweet, and the chaotic cousin of Bake Sale.
Retro Romance — a VHS-night love letter in wax.
Hot Cocoa Club — a mug, a memory, a winter hug.
Each one poured by hand in Glasgow.
Each one part of this little cinematic universe we’re building together
.So, Friend, if you’re here at the beginning, thank you!
It genuinely means the world to us that you’re reading this, following along, lighting candles with us, and choosing to make your home a little more autumn, a little more cosy, and a lot more you.
Here’s to opening nights, tiny moments of joy, and the glow of something new.
Warmly,
Chloe & Greg
